Working more efficiently with performance & new automations

When you execute an assignment or project, some will complete it faster than others. Based on our new functionality: performance, you already include the effectiveness of your resources in your pre-calculation. We have also added some very handy automations, read on quickly....

Working more efficiently with performance & new automations

With our newest functionality: "Performance" you can work even more efficiently. For each activity, determine the effectiveness of the resource that must perform the task.

For example, if you work with different machines on one operation (CNC turning), it may well be that one machine (resource) produces more than the other in the same time. For example, because one machine is much newer than the other.

How do you set this resource performance?
Go to activities within the configuration of vPlan. For the preferred resource, set the efficiency per machine in percentages. For example, for the CNC turning operation, we set an efficiency of 50% for machine 1 and 100% for the new machine 2. If you now schedule an order with an operation (CNC turning) of 4 hours, machine 1 will take 8 hours, and machine 2 will take 4 hours.

3 new automations

  1. When the status in phase 'something' changes to 'something', assign related resources of current user. In the example below, 'Robin' is added as a resource to the card as soon as he sets the card to 'pending' within the engineering phase.

2. Increase/decrease value in extra field on status change. When you set, for example, the status of a card to ready, the value of your numeric extra field "number produced" is increased by 10 pieces. Of this automation, we have added two variants to vPlan. One that applies within a specific phase and one that applies across all phases.

3. Receive a notification when a date is approaching or past. You have for example as an additional date field: "delivery date purchase order". When the date has passed you get a notification so you can check if the purchase order has been delivered.
